Puppy and Kitten Wellness Exam

Your new puppy or kitten visit will include a comprehensive wellness exam. We will look for any signs of illness and ensure that your new pet is in good health. Your pet’s vaccination protocol will begin, and requires a series of boosters over the first few months to protect your pet from life-threatening disease.

Parasite Testing

Fecal exams are performed during your visit and your puppy or kitten will be dewormed as needed. It is important to begin heartworm, flea, tick, and internal parasite control between six to eight weeks of age. We will review your parasite prevention options, and give you a free dose at the first visit.

Medical History

Please bring any available medical records with you to the initial exam, as well as a recent stool sample. New puppies and kittens can have worms, fleas, and mites, particularly if they came from a shelter environment. Some internal and external pet parasites can also be passed along to their owners. To ensure the health and safety of your entire family, it is vital to address parasite infestations immediately.
