Here at Stone Ridge Veterinary Medical Center of Conroe, we consider our veterinary technicians invaluable team members. They assist our veterinarians to examine pets, draw blood, perform laboratory procedures, prepare pets for surgical procedures, and many numerous tasks that are vital to our hospital’s successful operation. Today, we would like to highlight Kelsey Hooks, who developed her love of animals growing up in her local 4-H and FFA groups. She first came to Stone Ridge in 2013 as a volunteer, when she was still at Willis High School. She was dedicated and determined, and worked her way up to veterinary technician. This hard working young woman is currently in college, studying elementary education.

As you can see, Kelsey has multiple talents and interests, and we are extremely fortunate to have her as our veterinary technician. Her years in 4-H and FAA helped her develop a strong work ethic, which she puts to good use, ensuring your pets receive the care and attention they deserve. We especially appreciate her willingness to foster pets, providing a needed reprieve for homeless dogs and cats. She is also always eager to help an animal in need. Kelsey has been here since 2013, and has really settled in as part of our Stone Ridge family. We are so glad that her childhood dream to work in the veterinary field has come true, and that our practice is the beneficiary of that dream.
