Client care specialists are hardworking individuals, capable of maintaining a smile and a friendly attitude in the face of overwhelming phone calls, difficult questions, and a lobby full of rowdy pets. Not only do our client care specialists have to handle the challenging position of manning the reception desk, but they also must have a great deal of veterinary knowledge to assist pet owners. Oftentimes, your pet care question is fielded—and potentially answered—by a client care specialist because they have spent time learning the finer nuances of many common concerns pet owners have.

To help underscore the importance of our client care specialists, we want to shine the spotlight on Lauren Flower, client care specialist extraordinaire. A valuable member of our team, Lauren spends her days wrangling phone lines and leash lines, soothing clients and patients, and brightening up the day with her cheerful nature. With her years of experience working in veterinary medicine, she is a wonderful asset to our practice and Conroe’s pet community.

Answer: I was born and raised in Pasadena, Texas.

Q: How and when did you decide that veterinary medicine was the career path for you?

A: I’ve known that I wanted to work with animals ever since I was a child. Every stray animal I encountered would end up coming home with me.

Q: How did you land at Stone Ridge Veterinary Medical Center of Conroe?

A: My husband and I bought a new house and moved to Conroe, and I looked for a job at a veterinary hospital. Before I joined the Stone Ridge family, I had the pleasure to experience emergency medicine, as well as specialty surgery.

Q: Tell us about your pets.

A: I have four, four-legged fur babies. My two dachshunds, Jackson and Gracie, are 15 years old and I have had them since I graduated from high school. These dogs have been by my side through all sorts of milestones over the years. Maggie is 8 years old and is technically my husband’s pet. However, since we got married, she has come over to my side and is now “mine.” Rounding out our pack is Archie, a 10-month-old toy poodle who is a complete pistol.

A: I can’t whistle, no matter how hard I try. Also, I am a huge adrenaline junkie and love to travel.

Q: Do you prefer the mountains or ocean?

A: The ocean is definitely my favorite. I am 100% a beach and warm weather-type of gal.
