Stone Ridge Veterinary Medical Center offers a modern, in-house veterinary laboratory with the latest testing technology and equipment. Lab tests provide important diagnostic testing for both well and sick pets. Results serve to detect problems early and establish a healthy baseline, should your pet become ill in the future. Lab work is especially important in senior pet care, for early and accurate diagnosis of age-related diseases.

Laboratory Services

Tests like these and others are reliable and important indicators of health. In a healthy pet, laboratory tests performed during a wellness exam establish baseline values for your pet. Our most common laboratory tests include:

Complete blood count (CBC)
Chemistry panel
Urinalysis
Fecal exams
Heartworm
Feline leukemia and FIV testing
Pancreatitis testing
Thyroid testing
Giardia testing

Additionally, when your pet is scheduled for surgery, we use pre-surgical screening tests to determine the risk of complications while the patient is under general anesthesia. This allows us to adjust your pet’s anesthesia protocol, if necessary.

Advanced Laboratory Testing

We partner with outside laboratories to provide advanced laboratory testing from our convenient location. This reduces costs and results are still received quickly, usually by 8 a.m. the next day.
